When leaving City Park we will pass Holt Cemetery the most historical below ground Black cemetery in the South. This is where many famous black musicians and honorable war Veterans are laid to rest.
We will then learn the difference between the Ninth Ward and the Lower Ninth Ward which is separated by a canal. Learn of the Lower Ninth Ward which was devastated post Katrina by a breach in the canal flood wall that flooded the area with over 11 feet of water. We will pass Fats Domino's house and publishing headquarters which is just a few blocks away from the breached canal flood wall.
Thereafter we will continue to the area that has been adopted by Brad Pitt's Organization, Make it Right 9 helping to rebuild New Orleans' Lower Ninth Ward, where the organization introduces pioneering designs and green Eco-friendly storm resistant houses. Last but not least come visit the Ninth Ward, where famous celebrity and New Orleans native, Harry Connick Jr.'s ,dedication and collaboration with Habitat for Humanity developed what is known as Musician's Village.
